Steve Burnley is a self-taught artist whose work we’ve admired for years. Located just across from our former Thomson, GA studio, Steve’s antique shop served as a daily touchstone to his distinctive vision—and after much encouragement, he entrusted us to share his art with the world.
Burnley’s signature pieces—painted on vintage hand saws and hand-cut scrap metal—are transformed into vivid, bizarre characters bursting with thick, textured paint and twisted details. Each work is entirely unique, showcasing a raw, accessible authenticity that reflects Steve’s passion for found and reclaimed materials.
With characters bearing names as colorful as their forms—like “Noomy,” “Mama Slick,” and “Kyle Fletcher’s Quandary”—his metal cutouts invite viewers into a lively, unpredictable world that delights and surprises. Designed for easy display, these pieces bring bold character and a story to any space.
When not painting or drawing, Steve continues to fuel his artistic vision through his antiques business, Aunt Tiques and Uncle Junks, where the past meets his imaginative present.
